Biography

Patrick McLoughlin is the co-founder of Build Abroad, a volunteer organization that places construction volunteers in 5 different countries. Through their programs, volunteers repair communities by constructing homes/schools and provide rebuilding after natural disasters. Prior to founding Build Abroad, Patrick served with AmeriCorps, specifically the Homeless and Housing Coalition of Kentucky, where he coordinated volunteers and subcontractors to do renovation work on low income family homes. He has his degree in architecture from Miami University, with a minor in Entrepreneurship. At Miami, he took part in a study abroad in Ghana, West Africa, helping design and build a school in the rural village of Abrafo Odumasi. He is very interested in humanitarian design and construction.
