Biography
Anna became passionate about young people and the role service can play in their lives after completing a term as an AmeriCorps VISTA at Shakti Rising, a social change organization. Her year of service was transformative both personally and professionally, altering her perspective on what matters in life and highlighting her natural skill set. She is a certified “Dharma” Coach – trained to help others in self-discovery – and has studied empowerment techniques for over 5 years. This is what lead her to start the Next Generation of Service (NGS), an online alternative career center focused on national service opportunities.
Anna graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BA in Civil Engineering and Engineering Public Policy. With her Fulbright Grant she studied sustainable waste management practices in Namibian townships. She has since staked a role in the San Diego community as a Salesforce and technology consultant, working primarily with non-profits and start-up companies. Anna is also an ambassador for the Franklin Project. She loves surfing, rock climbing, and camping, and has visited 23/59 of the United States National Parks.
